League Match Practices

Our club has players of all levels ranging from beginners to Emily who plays on the tour and at Wimbledon. So, we have events to suit all abilities. Within the club there are many opportunities to compete at all levels. The singles box league is a wonderful place to start. It runs throughout the year and offers everyone the opportunity to match their skills against others at their levels of play. It’s also a great place to find and make new friends. At the next level there are the women’s, men’s and mixed doubles club championships. Here the competition gets stronger!

Looking outside the club we have both junior and adult teams playing in the Avon County and National leagues year long. Adults that wish to play at this level are welcome to join match practises that take place on a Tuesday from 6 pm. The team captains are Becci Quick and Kiran Sakhamuri. Our LTA qualified coaching team led by Toby Huddlestone are there to support these activities.

We have a particularly strong junior programme within the club. About two hundred being coached weakly. They take part in Winter and Summer leagues and the Road to Wimbledon competition. Once they have achieved the right standards of play, they are encouraged to join the box league and senior league teams. Our policy is to encourage play on merit!
