Tennis is great exercise. Research shows that people who play tennis regularly throughout their life live for 9.6 years longer. Research published by the Mayo Clinic. They are happier too, again supported by research from Sports Marketing Services. So, get your children off to a good start by encouraging them to take up tennis. Unlike many other sports, rackets needn’t be expensive and trainers and T-shirts most will already have.
Exercise helps their bones, muscles and lungs to become much stronger and healthier. Now that’s good news but there is more. The hand to eye coordination developed through tennis exercise helps the brain to develop cognitive skills, helping with reading and writing.
From children’s perspective exercise during holiday camps or after school with our pro team is available throughout the year is great fun and helps them make new friends. Toby Huddlestone our LTA level 3 head coach and his team have bags of experience and are enthusiastic about coaching tennis at all levels: beginners to those that are on their way to great things. His success in clearly demonstrated in the club house where there are many junior winners’ pennants for all age groups. The team success draws in up to two hundred children per week from a wide catchment area.
